Cait+Ben: Part II

Caitlin+Ben's Ceremony at Sacred Heart Church in Newburgh was classic & elegant. The stained glass windows cast such a pretty light throughout the ceremony & Caitlin looked so beautiful coming down the aisle (there was this crazy back light that made her look like she was glowing - gorgeous!). For those of you who have seen me at a wedding, or heard me talk about the weddings I attend, you know that I tend to get caught up in the magic of it all. I'm typically beaming from behind my camera & I've been known to shed a tear or two at the emotional bits (which second shooter, John Ciombor, thinks is hilarious!). What can I say? I love weddings! During Cait+Ben's ceremony, I became completely engaged in the priests words about wedding photography. He said that the photos tell the story of the wedding, but the wedding tells the story of every day before & every day after. That being said, I started to think about whether or not this is true to the photos I take. Do those images of unaware subjects casting adoring glances at their new spouse not capture the love of every day before, and the hope & eagerness for the future? My question was answered as I was going through the last few weeks worth of wedding photos today - I teared up all over again at the same parts.
