I love New York.
It's my favorite out of all of the places I've been.
It's where my loyalty lies.
I am, indeed, a tried and true New Yorker to the core.
I love the mountains, the trees, the seasons -
I love the people - the sarcasm, the pace at which we speak, the way they say "coffee" and "dog."
I even love the dirty streets of Manhattan - rat infested subways and all.
New York is the place that feels like home.
But sometimes...
on days like today, when the cold drifts in and the frost covers my windshield,
and even my dogs don't want to play outside (they're big babies)
I start dreaming of far off places with sand and sun.
Photos from Catalina make me feel a little warmer.
Hope they do the same for you.
xx

Hey, did you just e-mail me?
Was going through my e-mail really fast, read your note and thought it was a blog comment. So I just deleted it from my inbox...only realizing a minute after it was your e-mail I deleted before replying.
Whew. Follow all of that?
Anyway, sorry about that. Just wanted to say thank you for the note and so glad you enjoyed the post. I definitely can relate to what you said about people thinking how nice and easy the life can be.
Also...your photos are amazing! You're very talented.
