In ALS news:
- Getting Up: a documentary on LA Graffiti artist, Tempt, and how he still created art after he was paralyzed by Lou Gherig's disease.
- A six pack of courage: This 33 year old doctor from Australia spoke with microbrewers shortly after he was diagnosed and, with their help, created a beer that would draw attention to the disease and raise funds for research and equipment.
- "I just know the doctor my sister arranged for me to see is going to say, " You do not have ALS." I imagine him saying MS, a stroke or a even a brain tumor. I can deal with any of those. At least there's hope." Liz Jones, patient #14 in the Emory Stem Cell Trials, lost her battle with ALS on Wednesday. This is her story on how she discovered her illness and why she joined the clinical trial.
