Kalyn and Justin's wedding was at the Bear Mountain Inn, which, for those of you non-locals, is about 45 minutes north of Manhattan in the foothills of the Catskills. It is one of the must-visit places in the fall for those of us within driving/train/bus distance because it offers gorgeous foliage, great hiking trails and on the weekends, Oktoberfest.
I've been looking forward to spending more time with Kalyn and Justin since their engagement session (Kalyn and I found some excuses to hang out ;), so it really could have been a torrential downpour and I still would have had just as much fun photographing their wedding. Of course, it was unseasonably warm with perfect light and peak foliage, so I didn't really have to test that theory. Plus, I was too busy giddily snapping away at all of the gorgeousness happening everywhere to even think about it - from the rooms at the lodge with their vintage framed photographs and the pretty green bridesmaids' dresses, to the cool trolley, the amazing scenery and Kalyn & Justin's sweet and tear-y first look. The reception was twinkly and flawlessly designed and everyone was dancing and having such a great time thanks to some of my new favorite DJs.
It was really difficult to narrow my favorites down to this collection. If you want to see more from Kalyn & Justin's Bear Mountain Wedding, I'll be posting some more on facebook soon, too, if you'd like to subscribe....
For now though, I hope you enjoy these :)
Thank you, Kalyn & Justin, for being so much fun to work with.
Thanks also to the Kimlers and the Bards,
Kalyn & Justin's bridal party,
the trolley company for providing transportation to and from the ceremony,
DJ Joey G and company for the great dance party
(and for being so professional and fun to work with!),
and Jas Ciombor for being my awesome second shooter.
