My nephew has had a fascination with cameras since he could hold his head up (weirdddd, rightttt?) so sometimes we entertain ourselves by taking funny mirror pictures. This has nothing to do with this post aside from the fact that it involves a camera. Oh well.
Every year around this time, people start asking me for camera suggestions, so this year, I compiled an easy list of cameras that I have and love. Happy shooting :)

1. For the professional: Canon EOS 5D Mark II 21.1MP Full Frame CMOS Digital SLR Camera (Body Only)
I use this camera for work. It has video capabilities (bonus) and it rocks.

This is the camera I started with. It's a great digital camera to learn manual on and it has interchangeable lenses so you can upgrade later. It also has video capabilities.

3. For convenience and quality photos: Nikon COOLPIX L610 16 MP Digital Camera with 14x Zoom NIKKOR Glass Lens and 3-inch LCD (Black)
I just got this camera for when I'm out and don't want to lug around my big camera. I'm typically a Canon girl, but I wasn't impressed with the photos from the Canon point-and-shoots I've had in the past. After using the Nikon L610 at a wedding I attended (GASP, as a guest!) I'm completely sold. I love this camera.

4. For adventure: Fujifilm FinePix XP50 Digital Camera (Silver)
This is a great camera to have on vacation. It's waterproof and sand proof, so you don't have to worry about taking it to the beach and if you go swimming, you can just take it with you! It's also freeze proof, for all of you snow boarders/skiiers. And shock proof. In case you, uh, get shocked. It's pretty cool. Not the best for night time photos, though. I'd really just recommend it for fun day time activities.
5. For fun: Fujifilm INSTAX 210 Instant Photo Camera Kit with 5 Twin Pack of INSTAX Film
Anyone who has ever been over to my house knows I love this camera, because my walls are plastered with pictures from it. There was a big craze over the miniature version for a while, but in my opinion, those kind of sucked. Go for the big one. It's awesome.
