It's the weekend, sort of. Well, technically speaking it is. Tomorrow, my work week kicks in to full force with my busiest weekend of the year. Lots of photos. Lots of running around. Lots of love.
On Monday, as everyone begrudgingly pours their coffee and the all too familiar "rise and grind" statuses pop up all over various social networks, I will be tired and aching and glad it's Monday and for those first few conscious moments of the day, I will try to convince myself to spend the day lounging around on a blanket in a park reading book after book from the ever-growing stack of unread words beside my bed, before my mind drifts back to the frames from the preceding days and my curiosity gets the best of me. I'll give myself time later, I'll promise.
My work is my greatest source of stress and release. It is my focus and my distraction.
And I am grateful every day for it.
Here are some things that caught my eye this week...
Someone's anyone.
Austen and the Bronte sisters are weeping somewhere right now.
I know I may be a tad biased, but I really like this song.
I'm seeing these guys in September!
I wouldn't mind having this camera strap.
This sums up my mindset this week.
Girls in a Window, by Ormond Gigli, 1960.
In case you missed it...
And here's what I did on Bijou this week...
